The 2001 marching season was a stepping stone for the SMMB! Our show was "Vison: In Remembrance," arranged by Leslie GIlreath. The show had a patriotic theme, and the band used various sound clips from different time periods throughout the show.

1999-2000
The 1999 Marching season saw one of the most successful years the Silver Magic Band has ever seen. The three movements of our show, "Jubilation Suite," was written by Richard L. Saucedo.

1998-1999
This was one of the most successful marching seasons the Silver Magic Band has ever seen. Our show this year was "The Planets." Written by Gustav Holst and arranged by Jay Bocook, we performed "Mars: The Bringer of War," "Venus: The Bringer of Peace," and "Jupiter: The Bringer of Jolity or Joy."
Concert Season this year included performances of some well-known band works including: Incantation and Dance by John Barnes Chance, Amazing Grace by Frank Ticheli and March "The Nine" penned by Soichi Konagaya. Mariner hosted their first student conductor during concert festival as well this year: Warren Baxter conducted Welsh Folk Fantasy arranged by John Edmonson.
Awards
Wind Ensemble earned straight Superiors on stage, in sight reading, and during student conducting at FBA.This was the first time the band was eligible for State Concert Festival in Miami. The band traveled there that spring and earned straight Excellents.

1997-1998
Our show this year was "A Copland Portrait" featuring Fanfare for the Common Man, Appalachian Spring, and Finale from the 3rd Symphony.
